The M. Tech. in Nuclear Engineering Programme at MITS currently offers a 2-year full-time M.Tech programme in Nuclear Engineering. Candidates applying for the M.Tech programme must have a Bachelors degree in Mechanical/ Electrical/ Electronics/ Instrumentation/ Chemical/ Civil/ Industrial/ Metallurgical Engineering or M.Sc. in Physics / Electronics with a minimum CPI of 6.5 or 60% marks. Sponsored candidates satisfying the above criteria with a minimum industry experience of two years may also apply.

The programme is divided into four semesters in which students will be exposed to a wide range of subjects like radiation physics, fuel management, plant operation and maintenance, regulatory framework, etc. Students will undertake practical work at the state-of-the-art fundamental and equipment laboratories. Research and teaching assignments are also offered to eligible candidates.
