The M. Tech. in Nuclear Engineering Programme at MITS comprises of senior faculty members who have held leadership positions at various Department of Energy (DAE) organizations such as the Bhabha Atomic Research Center (BARC), Nuclear Power Corporation of India Limited (NPCIL), Indira Gandhi Centre for Atomic Research (IGCAR) and Atomic Energy Regulatory Board (AERB). They have led numerous research and project assignments across the entire value chain of the Nuclear power industry for over 3 decades.
The faculty facilitates the creation of a unique learning environment based upon the principles of academic freedom, self-monitored standards of excellence and an open and incessant process of assessment and feedback from the students. This enables continual refinement of the course curriculum and the delivery mechanisms. M. Tech. Nuclear Programme also encourages pioneering interdisciplinary research by the faculty which feeds directly into a better learning environment that fosters creativity and innovation.
