FET has collaborations with several companies and educational institutions; CEERI Pilani and Semiconductor complex Ltd Chandigarh are two of them.

MITS encompasses a unique conceptual feature of ‘earn while learn’, and accordingly offers a stipend of Rs. 8000 p.m. to each of its M. Tech. students. Similarly Research Assistantship of Rs. 10,000 is provided for Ph. D. scholars in the areas of Engineering / Technology and Management and Teaching Assistantship of Rs. 6500 to the Ph. D. scholars in other disciplines. Special emphasis is laid on providing explicit in depth knowledge and practical skills.
